After being recommended to us by a friend Ian Horton has decorated for us on 4 occasions now, including preparation painting and wallpapering. His work and cleanliness is always to the highest standard as are the materials he has supplied for us. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.
Ian has been decorating for us for the past 15 years now and I wouldn’t consider anyone else. Why? Well, if you ‘ll pardon the pun ‘He does exactly what it says on the tin’- a great job, on time at a great price. Ian Horton has re-decorated our entire house over time – taking off old dated wallpapers and leaving smart, newly painted walls, changing dark wood doors and window frames to bright white and basically lightening up the whole house. Being used to doing all my own decorating I have to admit to being a little apprehensive when a complete stranger was sent to repaint my replacement gates.
I need not have worried !
Ian (Horton Decorators) not only did a First Class Job but took trouble to ensure that no mess was made and indeed was a nice guy to deal with as well.

Ian first did some work for us in 2003 when, following a conversation, our entire house needed redecorating. We were delighted with the service Ian provided, in terms of quality, helpfulness,tidiness, speed, friendliness etc..Since that time, Ian has done some work on my parents house which they were extremely pleased with. We moved into a newly built house in 2007, which Ian decorated througout in that year-He also painted the outside of the house. We have since had him back to do some further work. I really couldn’t recommend him highly enough and wouldn’t consider using anyone else for decorating.
“Ian did our hall and stairs, which, it is fair to say, were in dire need of attention having last been decorated about 10 years ago. He did the lot;walls, ceilings,doors, skirting boards and even stained the banister and landing rails in just a couple of days. He made a mighty fine job of it and on completion left everywhere neat, clean and tidy. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending him to anyone.”

I was surprised how quickly and efficiently you managed to make everything look so good, as the finishes are of a very high standard. The quote was extremely competitive for all the work involved and the fact you did completed much of the work in the evenings and weekends to ensure the laboratory was able to function during the working day without disruption, was great for us as a business.
